Medium Coil Built Pillar Candle Holder

Medium wood-soda candle holder for larger candles. This was creating by rolling out individual coils and placing them on top of each other and attaching them to the one below, which is the texture you see through out. Meticulous and a labor of love. This piece fired in a wood-fed kiln for 3 days, and the blue/grey you see comes from a mixture of soda ash and water that is lathered on slabs of wood and stoked into the kiln part way through. This piece even got some green crystalization near the bottom where the wood and soda ash pooled.
