Peacock Feather & Horse Hair Vessel - A

Pulled out of the kiln red hot, this vessel was then adorned with horse hair and a peacock feather burned onto the exterior. A smooth white clay body lies underneath.

Raku vessels are not food safe and will not hold water due to the firing technique. These are perfect for dried flowers, sage holders, as center pieces, and home/altar decor. Horse hair pots should be touched minimally as the oils in our fingers could effect the design over time, although each of my horse hair vessels are sprayed in a protective coating.
