This set fired in a wood-fed kiln for 3 days, and the blue/grey you see comes from a mixture of soda ash and water that is lathered on slabs of wood and stoked into the kiln part way through. The red tones are from wild clay dug from the earth in Oregon mixed into the clay and the wood ash melting on the pieces. Liner glaze apllied on the interior for food safety.
